This dataset covers the entire China Pakistan Economic Corridor region with a spatial resolution of 0.25 ° × 0.25 °, with a time span from January 1961 to December 2015. This dataset is based on the daily precipitation and temperature grid data of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor from 1961 to 2015, and the monthly standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) is calculated. Obtaining basic comparative data from the Pyrenees Ecological Research Institute in Spain, the validation shows that this dataset has high accuracy and can better reflect the real spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of drought in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The data volume is 3.46MB, with over 660 entries.

Operation
According to global data, calculate and generate 0.25 ° in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor region using the SPEI calculation method in the "Meteorological Drought Level" (GB/T20481-2017) × Monthly time scale SPEI with 0.25 ° spatial resolution. As a comparison, the SPEI dataset is from the IPE-CSIC Institute in Spain, which uses the FAO Penman Monteith method to calculate PET. Generally, this method has relatively high accuracy due to the use of a large number of meteorological elements (hereinafter referred to as SPEI_PM).
